La Veta del Sur: Julio Galindo, Abraham lacalle, Cristina Lama, Juan de Morenilla, Manuel ocampo, Matías Sánchez, Santiago Ydáñez

VETA by Fer Francés gallery presents 'La Veta del Sur', a fascinating exhibition that comes to Seville with the purpose of reformulating the Andalusian clichés and the different traditional manifestations of the capital of Andalusia. Seven artists, with diverse styles but united by a common look, invite us to rediscover the tradition through a renewed language. The exhibition will be open until April 28, providing a unique opportunity to explore the deep cultural roots of Andalusia from a contemporary perspective. La Veta del Sur' brings together seven artists with a strong connection to Seville and southern Spain, whose works seek to renew the idea of tradition and Andalusian customs, presenting a vibrant and contemporary vision of popular themes relevant to this city and special dates.Upon entering the exhibition, the visitor is greeted by a work by Abraham Lacalle, also in this room, highlighting the works of Matias Sanchez, an artist with expressionist influences that combine humor, particular figures and the grotesque. In this section, two small but impressive works by Juan de Morenilla are exhibited. Cristina Lamanos transports his works where in an almost abstract way, they show incorporates iconographies and popular devotions of Seville.

The second room, designed in the style of 17th and 18th century galleries, houses works by Santiago Ydáñez and Julio Galindo. This luminous, high-ceilinged space envelops the visitor with its display of art. Among the pieces by Ydáñez are a portrait of Juan Belmonte bullfighting, the Duchess of Alba, and a gypsy patriarch. These works dialogue with the ceramics of Julio Galindo, who presents a contemporary and tattooed minotaur, as well as unique and precious banderillas, reminiscent of the theme of the April Fair.
