Bryan Ali Sánchez: (Dirty Realism: Otra Noche e L.A.)
Past exhibition
Overview
VETA by Fer Francés presents the solo exhibition of Bryan Ali Sanchez as part of Dirty Realism: Otra Noche en L.A.
Bryan Ali Sanchez, born in San Diego, California, is a painter whose work examines and highlights the inequalities between social classes and cultural differences, to which he adds his own personal experiences, specifically his identity and the complexity of it, as a first generation Mexican-American.
The technique Sánchez uses is oil painting, with which he reworks images with an almost frenetic behavior, changing over and over again the schemes and colors previously used, which allows him to resurface his art and bring ideas to the surface.
He received his BFA in Visual and Performing Arts, where he majored in two-dimensional art at San Diego City College and California State University Long Beach, where he minored in painting and drawing.
