The work of Sevillian Matías Sánchez (1972) is characterized by complex compositions and ironic scenes, always on the edge between figuration and abstraction. His work has deep roots in art history, combining influences from other painters such as Goya, Philip Guston, George Grosz, Otto Dix, Toulouse Lautrec, and Pablo Picasso, among others.

The work of the Cantabrian Edu Carrillo (1995) is also influenced by the figurative tradition, especially by Philip Guston and by the Spanish painting of the Golden Age. All of this is updated by a particular universe, a reflection of his generation, where themes such as the work of the artist, love, fantasy, music, and nature pass through.
