TAPAS MAGAZINE

Celebration of the 4th edition of the T de Tapas Magazine awards

This year, the T de Oro awards were held in a very special place. Far from the traditional art circuits and in the heart of Carabanchel's industrial district, VETA by Fer Francés has established itself as one of the most unique spaces on Madrid's art scene. Opened in November 2021, the gallery occupies 1,200 square meters of repurposed warehouses, a setting that perfectly suits its spirit: a haven where contemporary painting thrives within walls that once housed workshops and storage facilities.

Its exhibition program bridges generations and geographical boundaries. It brings together established Spanish artists—Abraham Lacalle, Matías Sánchez, Santiago Ydáñez—alongside international figures such as Erik Parker, Christian Rex van Minnen, Theresa Chromati, and Manuel Ocampo. This roster is complemented by a strong commitment to emerging voices, including Juan de Morenilla, Atanda Quadri Adebayo, and Kang Haoxian.

The result is a gallery that doesn't just display art: it promotes it, blends it, provokes it, and projects it. A VETA, in short, with its own distinctive style.
